1895, October – Warrant IssuedAN AFFILIATION CASE.A girl of 18, named Leila Maud Collins, proceeded against a man named Walter Launder, at the North Melbourne court yesterday, for the maintenance of her illegitimate child.The complainant gave evidence that the defendant had seduced her under a promise of marriage. She had known him for two or three years. On the 26th ult, she gave birth to a child, of which the defendant was the father.Francis Collins said that he was the father of last witness. The defendant used to visit his house, keeping company with complainant.
