The only information I have been able to find for Robert William Burdett Launder is that he lived with his parents, then his mother and siblings in the family home at 720 High Street, Armadale, working as a painter in the family business.
After the death of his mother, Mary Burdett Salisbury in 1936, he and his two brothers, Anthony and Ernest Edward and his sister, Gertrude Launder shared a house at either 36 or 46 Spring Street, Armadale. He remained unmarried and at his death in 1946, was buried in the Roman Catholic section of the Fawkner Memorial Park, as are many other members of the Launder family.
