PINNAROO NOTES (From our Correspondent.)Last Wednesday afternoon the Methodist Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding-the first held in the new building—and the contracting parties were Miss Myrtle Mary Young, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Young, and Mr. Clifford James Warren, of Prahran, Victoria. The Rev. G. B. Rowe was the officiating minister. The bride, who entered the church to the strains of Mendelssohn's Wedding March, was accompanied by her father and her sisters, Violet and Daisy, who were bridesmaids. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Hurtle Tillbrook and Mr. E. Kirkbright. The church was crowded. The bride wore a beautiful cream silk dress trimmed with silk lace, and it had a panel train. She wore the orthodox veil and orange blossom and carried a bouquet of flowers. The bridesmaids wore white embroidered muslin, white chip hats with pale pink roses. The gift of the. bridegroom to the bride was an exquisite pendant of pearls and amethysts, and muff chains to the bridesmaids. After the ceremony, a reception was held in the Methodist Hall, where from 40 to 50 guests sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast. Several toasts were honoured, including “The bride and bridegroom,” and “The bridesmaids,” and “The parents.”Musical items were rendered by Misses Gum and A. M. Edwards and Mr. M, Beckwith.A number of very pretty and useful presents were received by the happy couple. They left for their honeymoon by train, amid showers of rice and good wishes. The wedding tour will conclude in about a fortnight, when the newly wedded pair will settle in their home in Prahran.Pinnaroo Country News (Lameroo, SA : 1908 - 1922), Friday 11 October 1912
