On Wednesday evening Master John Clifford Buckley, aged. 141/2 years, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Buckley, Lawloit, was riding a pony bareback near his father's homestead, and he attempted to jump the pony over a log.

The animal, however, slipped, and young Buckley was thrown heavily to the ground, with the result that he sustained severe injuries and was unconscious for twenty minutes.

He sustained a fracture of the collarbone, concussion of the brain, and a cut ear.
