1918 – School - Percy Charles Warren
Percy Charles Warren was admitted to the Kaniva Elementary School in February 1918 as a student. The school had been opened in 1883 but without desks for the students, church pews had to be borrowed for school days.
By February 1884, there were 50 children enrolled at the school. Later a new school was built measuring 30 feet by 18 feet wide for the schoolroom with four attached rooms built as staff quarters.
By May 1887, there were 60 students, and by 1888, students numbered 78.
